Certified Gottman Leader through the Gottman Institute, a leading program in the field of relationships. This certification develops a practitioners ability to teach individuals productive skills for healing & deepening relationships.

    
Treatment Orientation:

I believe in the importance of true and lasting change. I use a person-centered approach, letting the client determine their readiness and pace for  implementing change. I strive to understand the client’s concerns as comprehensively as possible. I believe in using the therapeutic approach that makes the most sense for the client and strive to be aware of current research and best practices so I can use what works. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), narrative therapy, forgiveness therapy, grief work (including complicated grief), analytical psychology, and the Gottman method.

A Little About Me:

I grew up in Oregon and enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. I am passionate about music and art and have an acquired taste for exercising. I love learning, whether it’s through a documentary, reading, or developing a new hobby.

   

My Philosophy:

Each individual has a unique life story, full of nuances, that shape who they are. This story deserves recognition and understanding without judgment. I try to look at problems from multiple perspectives while helping clients discover new insights about themselves. I believe that each person has the power to make positive and lasting changes in their life.
