About Me:
Before pursuing a career in counseling, I spent several years working in the forestry and fishing industries in Oregon and Alaska. I believe this background influences my therapeutic style, as I enjoy combining the deeper work of healing with practical strategies that help clients achieve tangible results. I love dogs, spending time in nature, reading, and learning. I especially enjoy connecting with others through the exchange of ideas, information, and perspectives.
Treatment Orientation & Philosophy:
Many of my clients come to therapy carrying patterns of self-doubt, people-pleasing, or emotional disconnection, often without realizing how deeply these struggles are rooted in early experiences. They may feel the need to “hold it all together” for others while quietly managing anxiety, depression, or chronic stress. In therapy, I help clients explore their inner world and uncover the roles that intense thoughts, emotions, and behaviors play in their lives. Healing, in my view, is less about “fixing” what’s wrong and more about learning to approach all aspects of oneself, even the parts we may try to reject, with curiosity and compassion.
I also support clients through life transitions and relationship challenges, helping them better understand and honor their own needs in ways that allow for deeper connection with others. I am passionate about helping clients discover their inner capacity for healing, while also pursuing goals that create lasting, meaningful changes in daily life.
