About Me:

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. With a mother who was a child & family social worker, I grew up aware of the importance of empathy, taking care of others, and encouraging positive change. I went to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (Go Illini!), where I received both my bachelor's and master's in social work. I moved to Oregon immediately upon graduation to get away from the Midwest winters, which has turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Some things I enjoy include spending time with my friends playing games or going to play trivia, spending time with my dog, binging movies on Netflix, and being outdoors anywhere in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Treatment Orientation & Philosophy:

As a clinician, I believe that all humans are capable of change and healing. My approach includes the understanding that trust and rapport is important to foster a relationship that can help facilitate the change a person wants to see in their life. The belief that each person is uniquely made from their specific experiences drives my passion to connect and tailor treatment to each person’s individual needs. I offer a judgment free setting that provides empathic support and promotes self exploration. Using modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, dialectical behavioral therapy and others. I strive to help build tools that encourage self awareness, reliance, healing, and growth.

Treatment with me includes identifying your own goals, developing the tools and skills needed to achieve them, and growing the confidence to be the person you want to be. I enjoy working with people on goals that include, but are not limited to: building self esteem and self worth, learning to manage strong emotions, forming positive healthy relationships, navigating life transitions, as well as processing and healing from trauma, grief, and other distressing life events.
