About me:

Being a therapist reflects a core part of me that loves getting to know people on a deeper level. When I ask how someone is doing, what I mean is - how are you, really? I love learning about the experiences, thoughts, and feelings of my clients to help them achieve more contentment and joy. Outside of work, I spend time reading science fictions, playing video games, dabbling in needlecrafts, and adoring my cats.

Treatment Orientation & Philosophy:

People often begin counseling when it's too hard to stay the same. Even though reaching out for help may feel like a weakness, distress is often a chance to create meaningful change in your life - not a sign of failure. I believe everyone, whether they've been in therapy for years or are just starting out, already has everything they need to thrive; my role is to help you see and nourish those parts, and in turn, enjoy more peace and fulfillment. Integrating elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care, I combine my training and understanding of you to personalize your experience in therapy. I'm especially passionate about supporting people with PTSD, and intimate partners grappling with PTSD, in their healing journey. I'm also a fat-positive therapist and prioritize creating inclusive spaces where people of all body types are valued and respected.

“It is brave to be involved, to be not fearful to be unresolved. Her new wish was to smile when answers took no airships, walked awhile.”
– Gwendolyn Brooks, 1949
