About me:

My relationship with Nature is at the core of who I am. I enjoy spending my time snowboarding, paddle boarding, hiking, practicing yoga, and sitting around a fire. These experiences not only shape my recreational pursuits but also serve as a source of grounding and mindfulness in my daily life.

Treatment Orientation & Philosophy:

I believe that change is a gradual and individualized process. Your autonomy in leading sessions is valued, allowing for a personalized and self-directed exploration. My training relies heavily on systems work grounded in feminist principles and perspectives. I acknowledge the impact that power, privilege, and oppression may have on the individual’s mental health.

I believe that therapy facilitates a transformative process, and our sessions will aim to facilitate your journey toward wholeness and self-discovery. The pace of our work will be guided by your comfort and readiness. I believe that nature provides a unique perspective to the therapy process and that nature is always a part of us. Exploring metaphors within nature may enhance our discussions and contribute to the holistic nature of your therapeutic journey.

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this.’ That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.”
