About Me:

Growing up, my family often moved throughout the greater United States, which influenced my young adult self to be curious about the world beyond the United States. After exhausting my curiosity in various cultures, outdoors, and on the ocean, I focused on my dream of becoming a social worker from a very young age. Today I am motivated to idle with my family, friends, and dog. It is even better if the time spent together is during baseball season, saving the fish, swimming, listening to music, or eating cake.

Treatment Orientation & Philosophy:

There is a saying that best captures my therapeutic views: "My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together." At the heart of my practice is the belief in the shared human experience — that we all navigate similar emotions, desires, and struggles despite our unique backgrounds, challenges, and stories. This perspective allows me to approach each individual with deep empathy and understanding.

I work through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the profound impact of past experiences, particularly early attachments, on one’s emotional and relational well-being. By integrating attachment theory and psychoeducation on the nervous system into my practice, we can better understand how early relationships shape behavior patterns and interaction in adulthood, and how our bodies store emotions.

I am committed to providing a safe and warm environment that promotes self-reflection, restoration, and the development of healthier, more connected relational patterns where tragedy can become strength.
