About Me:

I am originally from Southern California and have lived in several states to include Arizona, Hawaii, Texas, and Oregon. I enjoy travelling, nature, movies, books, music, food and exercise. I found my passion for counseling while I was serving in the Army and saw the need for empathic, competent, and supportive behavioral health providers. I went to school focusing on mental health and earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2013 at the University of Southern California. I enjoy making a space for others to feel supported when they need it. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Clients who have witnessed or experienced violence, abuse, combat, relationship issues, transitions, substance abuse, homelessness, depression, anxiety, loss, and other difficult life events.

Treatment Philosophy:

I think of life like a book. Chapters close and open with new and old elements introduced. Chapters build upon one another. We can grow and change from
our experiences. Sometimes we get stuck and need help moving into the next chapter or even into the next part of the book without judgement. Our work together will be a united process to identify and explore experiences, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, patterns, coping tools, and strengths while providing a supportive space
of acceptance. The goal of treatment will be to build you up so that you can make positive changes or move on into your next chapter with a renewed strength and self-worth.
