A Process Group for Individuals Healing an Eating Disorder

Ages 18 and older

This group is created to support adult individuals of all backgrounds to address ongoing issues that arise with having an eating disorder.

As a group, we understand that everyone brings their own unique experiences and recognize the different stages that are present in each of our lives. Understanding that one's process comes with obstacles, I work to establish a safe space to express challenging emotions while gaining the opportunity to listen to your needs as well as the groups needs.

I also integrate resources developed by eating disorder specialists to generate deeper dialogue in a productive positive environment. I look forward to moving through this invaluable process together.

CBT

with Pauline Botchway

Day: Wednesdays

Time: 6:00- 7:30 P.M

Start Date:December 4th

Group experience designed to learn valuable tools to manage symptoms of Anxiety & Depression

Ages 18 and older

CBT is a type of psychotherapy that works to re-frame negative thinking patterns into positive thoughts. Transforming thoughts will ultimately result in positive actions and behaviors.

In this group process we will be exploring ANTS (Automatic Negative Thoughts) which can invade an individual’s mind at any time. We will work to notice when they occur, identify them as false, and replace with thoughts that support health and joy.

Types of ANTS used in the human experience can include:

1. 'All or nothing' Thinking

2. 'Always' Thinking

3. A focusing on the negative-an element of the safety mechanism we all carry

4. Thinking with your feelings

5. Guilt beating

6. Labeling

7. Fortune-telling

8. Mind reading

9. Blame

Together we will work to identify and shift these powerful thoughts processes as well as learn in the moment skills for relaxation and connection.

Mastering this process has been shown to have significant impact on reducing symptoms of anxiety & depression.

Costs are typically your medical co-pay call to verify. Able to bill most insurance companies
